Then earlier this week I got a phone call from a friend that is in town from Kansas! We met up and went to Asian Star for some yummy food. Love Love Love chinese food. The owner is awesome, it's one of those places that he is there greeting people and calling you by name. I haven't been there in a long time, so I did not think he would remember me, but he took me by surprise. When we walked in, he called me by my first name (which I didn't know he knew), and then referenced how I was a twin and how it took him a minute to realize which twin I was. As always he asked how my mom was doing. What a great guy and a great place to eat. Leslie and I talked for a few hours. It's great having a friend you can talk about anything with and they'll still be your friend. lol. =o)

Since I've been home...
I cannot believe how fast the last 2 weeks have gone by. I'm still secretly hoping it's a dream and I'll wake up back in Kauai where the weather is over 80 degrees and the ocean is in walking distance. Instead I woke up this morning to my house at 62 degrees and the need to wear my socks. I guess that's really my fault for leaving a window open last night.
Anyway, the last 2 weeks have been a little busy for me, but not bad. In the last 2 weeks I have had my birthday, mothers day, my husbands sister (and her cute boys) and mom visit for almost a week, a baby shower for another sister-in-law, family bbq, last minute dinner with a friend visiting from out of town, and my 7 year anniversary.
Here is a picture of 2 wonderful people that share my birthday, my sister Amy and my Aunt Reba. We got together at a park with my dad and his little girls for pizza and cake. The best part was when I gave Amy a necklace with matching earrings and she found the one place at the picnic area where their was a hole to drop one of the earring. lol. It was great, her husband Randy spent most of the time there trying to get it out. Later I was lucky to have my brother in law watch my girls so my husband and I could go on a date for my birthday. We just went to dinner and then to a movie--Ironman. Which, by the way, was a GREAT movie.
Here is a CUTE picture of my sister in law and her 2 boys. They are visiting from Mississippi, but spending most of the time in Colorado with her parents during May. I love it when she visits, and maybe someday down the road we'll live closer. She and her mom came out to visit the rest of the family during the week. It was great cause my girls got to play with their cousins a lot. They also helped with the baby shower we threw for another sister who is expecting a boy in September. That was a lot of fun cause 1. all the sisters were able to make it and 2. we had all the little cousins there to play together.
Here a picture of Jared's mom and the little girls in the family. That's right, only 3 little girls (2 of those are mine) and the rest are boys, which is 7 and 1 on the way.
When we were at the family bbq, we took a picture of the cousins...well most of them. Unfortunately, not all the family were able to make it. One had work, another was driving to Texas, and other obligations. So here is a picture of most of the cousins minus 3. =o) We still had a good time. We found a place up the mountain, right next to the creek. The kids had water guns, plenty of good food, and my husband was "volunteered" for the cook.

Lastly, Jared and I had our 7 year anniversary. We were able to get an awesome sitter (kids in bed by 8!), went to an early showing of Indiana Jones, and then dinner. He brought home flowers, beautiful huh?! That was a really nice surprise. When we got home from our date we played Mario Kart on the Wii. Compared to Jared, I'm not very good, but it is a lot of fun to play.
That's my update for those that are interested. =o)The next big thing I have to look forward to is my little girl turning 1 yrs old next month. wow, that went by fast.

And by the way, the new picture of the girls on your sidebar is SO cute. I'll have to get the pictures off my camera from the picnic and send them to you.
