Pomegranate

I was at a store the other day with my girls and I saw they had Pomegranates $1 each! My girls have never seen one opened before, so I grabbed one, and that afternoon we opened the pomegranate. Have you ever done this before? it's a lot of fun and the little arils are tasty. Here are a few pictures of the "process" in taking apart a Pomegranate. My daughter loved it.

Today...well today's been interesting. I wanted a change in my hair color, so I got one of those do-it-yourself boxes at the store. I've only ever done this twice before in the last 10 years. When I was a little girl I was as blonde as you could get, but by the time I reached college my hair went to a light brown. I've dyed it strawberry blonde, then a dark brown, and today I tried an auburn red. =) Here are the before and after shots. I'm still undecided if I really like it or not, but it's just fun and temporary.

Looking out my window it's snowing. Snow really is beautiful, I just don't like driving in it. =) Now for the rest of the day (or days), I'll be watching Lord of the Rings, special extended versions. I just haven't seen them in so long, and I love the movies. With 2 high strung girls I'm not sure how far I'm going to get, but it'll mostly be background noise.

Today is an important day. Have you voted yet?!

Nice hair color, but how can I tell if it looks good on you if we can't see your face?

I love your daughter's face in that last pomegranate picture. It made me laugh.

yeah....um, well I not a huge fan of pictures of me, that's why you see mostly my kids ;-). MAYBE I'll take a picture with my red hair when it's not pulled back. :D but I'm still not sure if I like it or not. we'll see.
