Museums and Gingerbread

I know it's been awhile since I've posted. So here is what we've been up to. I've posted some pictures to show how much fun Cadence has had. Last week, Jared and I took our girls to the Children's museum at the Gateway. They are calling it Discovery Gateway. I remember when it was in an OLD OLD building, but they have moved it to the Gateway. A lot of the exhibits are the same, and then they have some new ones. I thought it was A LOT of fun, especially for kids. Everything is hands-on and Cadence was running everywhere. The pictures I have below are 1. Cadence and Jared in a "market truck." They have an area where kids can pretend to have different professions. Cadence is pretending to drive the produce to the market. They even have a fake market for the kids to go grocery shopping and to check out. 2. On the roof, they have a life flight helicopter that the kids can get into and see what it's like. They also have other life saving professions that are explained up there. Cadence loved to fly the helicopter. and 3. Cadence and Jared are pretending to be weather reporters. The exhibit has a weather center, a main desk, and also some sound booths. My favorite was the building exhibits. They have multiple desks where you can build things..with magnets, or spin wheels...many different table. I especially liked the domino tables. The have a table for beginners and also for experienced. On the table is a pattern where you put the dominos--in the Robots exhibit. Anyway, it was fun. The price..ehhh, but it's worth it for the kids. For the rest of the week and weekend I focused on Christmas. We finally got a mantle piece to go over the fireplace, which I painted white. And for YEARS I have been wanted to make and decorate a gingerbread house...not any type, designing and baking gingerbread in the oven, putting the pieces to together and decorating. Honestly, I'm glad I did it. This is definitely something you need to try once. I would do it again, but not every year. Next year I'm going to try graham crackers. I added some pictures of our living room, and my first EVER gingerbread house. This week my wonderful older sister is coming into town for a week. I'm reallllly looking forward to having her in the same state. In that week time, my sister has mapped out where she is going to be at what time and with what parent (or friend). Also during that time, my parents have every holiday activity planned out so we can have that "holiday feeling" while she is in town. fun huh. Hope it all works out. Have a Happy Holiday everyone!!

Wonderful Job on the Front Room and the GingerBread House...We have been reading and rereading the Baby Gingerbread Man, and My Little Ones really want to make a house... I am thinking KIT! We'll see I am sure, as they have convinced to do many a thing here lately with all thier enthusiaism. :) I like the Milk Truck Picture the best... both thier expressions are PRICELESS!

Hey Emily I'm dying to know the answer to the riddle you took off. I'm very curious. What's the answer?
