I know it has been awhile since I've posted. I've had a couple friends push me lately to update something. Here is the first thing I want to share. A friend Amy and I have known since diapers was married last weekend. We're lucky if we get together once a year for lunch. I was so giddy that she invited us to her wedding. I love her family and have many great memories of when we were growing up.
Kacie has been in Chicago for....I don't know how many years, but she and her now husband, are both physical therapists. The chapel they chose to get married in was St Mary's Catholic Church, on the way to Park City. Beautiful church in one of the most serene settings.

You walk in and you see these amazing stained glass windows full of reds, blues, and purples. I love stained glass, so I took a picture. :) wish you could see the detail and the colors in the glass.

The wedding ceremony itself was unique and very interesting. My friend is a Japanese Buddhist, where her spouse is a
Philippine Catholic. The picture below shows Father
Torez, who I believe they flew in from Chicago, and the Reverend from the salt lake area. They each took turns in the ceremony, doing the different customs and traditions for each faith. They also added in the Philippines wedding traditions. I loved it. Father
Torez said that this was his first wedding where he shared the ceremony with a Buddhist, in a catholic church, in
Mormon country. :) I thought that was a little funny.

Below is a picture of the my friend and her husband surrounded by the wedding party. I did borrow this picture from someone else..hope that's
ok. I wanted to share a picture of the married couple.

This is a beautiful shot of Kacie. I wanted to show off her gorgeous wedding gown.

And lastly the back of the wedding gown. Just amazing.

After the ceremony there was a break before cocktails and a sit down dinner at the Canyons Resort. Each table's center
piece was a little wedding cake that they cut and served for dessert at the end. They shared a slide show of pictures (Amy was in one!!! I think they were 8yrs old?), family made comments and embarrassed both bride and groom, and then dancing to end the night. Had a wonderful evening! One of the best and most memorable weddings I've ever been to. :)
