At my daughters preschool they make these houses for the kids to decorate out of a milk carton and graham crackers. Then they put a TON of icing on top, they let the kids spread it around and decorate their own house. This is my daughters house. fun huh :) cute idea for kids that age.

The Holiday projects have started! Last week I wanted to make a graham cracker house. My sister Amy inspired me; she has made some amazing houses out of graham crackers in the past few years. So I drove to her house and we had fun with hot glue and crackers! I guess we could have used cement icing, but I'm not planning on eating my house, so hot glue won. AND as much as I LOVE working with gingerbread, I didn't want to make a house out of gingerbread, the graham crackers I just cut and glue together :) voila! Here's my before shot of the cracker house.

And here is the after shot. I waiting until after the girls went to bed before I started to decorate, but now we have to worry about left over candy. :)
I had so much fun making my house, I made the girls each a little graham cracker house that we helped decorate for a family fun project.
THEN, I don't know if you remember these, but I've made them years ago and wanted to make them for my girls. Trains out of candy. super easy and really cute.
Lastly, I make the family gingerbread cookies. They are soooo goood. :) That's the start of our holiday fun and traditions.
