Postcards! and gingerbread men
Last week my daughters teacher finally sent home these postcards. In December, her school class started a fun project to help learn about geography. Her teacher asked the kids families to send postcards to the class saying that they have seen the gingerbread boy/girl but that they ran off before they could catch them. I have the best family ever! My daughters aunts and uncles sent postcards from all over the U.S. and my older sister just happened to be on a trip in Nepal and Tibet. Could not have asked for more!
For those few weeks, my daughter would jump in the car and say "Guess what mom! My aunt/uncle/cousin saw the gingerbread boy! but he got away." I loved it. Such a fun project for the kids, they would map the postcard, and then the teacher stapled them on the class board in the hall for them to see. The kids really got into the gingerbread boy/girl. Eventually the class got a postcard from them saying they just got married in Vegas. Just happy to get the postcards finally.
**And the gingerbread in the middle of the postcards is my daughters Hawaiian gingergirl. :) Each kid made one for the project and they were stapled up on the board with the postcards.

How cute and what a fun activity for "C"! I am tempted to take Kaleb over to Silver Crest next year! "C" seems to have a fabulous teacher!
