Luck O' the Irish to ya

 Happy St. Patty's Day!

I shared a joke on facebook that I thought was cute: "Why should you never iron a 4-leaf clover? You don't want to press your luck!" hehehe.  The simple things that I find hilarious.

Hope you had a lucky day, usually I do more on St. Patty's Day.  For lunch I colored the mac n cheese green! The color was awesome.  Surprisingly my little one ate most of hers! and it was my big 6yr old that literally had tears streaming down her face..no way, no mom, not going to touch that.  All she had were the hot dogs I put in there for her. Seriously?? usually the roles are reversed. Oh well, I tried something fun.

With my boot camp class we haven't been able to sit down for dinner as a family for a few weeks...last year I had a green theme..it was great--green jello, green chicken alfredo, clover breadsticks, green salad.  I really missed that this year. Some people go all out for this fun silly holiday, others can go through the whole day not noticing that most of the people around them are wearing green. love the holiday. love an excuse to wear green. and love that I have Irish blood in my veins...no matter how distant, it is there.

Oh! another thing I wanted to mention...I am loving bootcamp. honest.  Just finishing up week 3...can't believe I'm half way done and I already know I'm going to miss it. (yes honey...you were right.)  Every week our trainer times us on our mile.  Last Thursday was my first timed mile in forever. I hate running. Let's just say that my time was pathetic 14:38 for 1 small mile.  My legs were screaming at me.  This week I told myself to find my happy place, that the faster I can get the mile over with, the faster I can get off the treadmill. So I set a pace, focused on a spot, and shaved 2 minutes off my time. 12:29.  Yay! that's huge for me. My trainer still wants it under 12:00, but seriously? soo happy. My legs were still screaming at me, but I ignored the pain and kept going...if I slowed down they hurt worse. Hopefully next week I can keep that same time, or least get it closer to 12 minutes.

One last thing...
"Wherever you go and whatever you do, May the luck of the Irish be there with you!"

I tried Green pancakes, but Ashlee just kept saying they were not the right color. At least we tried right?
