Happy Independence Day!

I'm sitting here waiting for it to get dark enough to start some fireworks! So I'm flippin through the channels and I landed on PBS. They are showing A Capital Fourth-America's Independence Day Celebration. It's almost over, but this is taking place in Washington DC in front of the Capitol Building. I've already seen some really neat fireworks, heard Jerry Lee Lewis, listening to Huey Lewis and the News right now, an amazing Broadway voice Brian Stokes Mitchell, National Symphony Ochestra, and probably others that I've missed. I love watching these programs, listening to the music (you know the ones that are patriotic, remind you of freedom, life and liberty and almost make you cry, lol), and watching the fireworks. Maybe some of you will agree, but I love the music of Huey Lewis and the News. It reminds me of growing up listening to his music in my dads car (ok and the movie Back to the Future). Hmm...now Taylor Hicks is on? I never watched that season of American Idol, but I don't think I've seen him since he won that season. =o) He seriously won? lol. sorry. Hope everyone had a great 4th!
