Where Have I Been?

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything that's been going on in my life. So here's a little update on what my family has been up to. My girls are wonderful. My baby loves to walk, almost run, and climb into things. My other angel just wants to play outside all day long with her friends, or on her scooter, or inside watching one of her girlie movies. Speaking of girlie movies, that's been a fun "bonus" of being a mom. I get to watch kid movies again. =o) I think we own most of the barbie fairytales and fairytopia movies and I'm not afraid to say i like 'em. My most recent favorite is the Barbie Island Princess, it has some really pretty songs. I'll even have it on when my daughter isn't around. I know I'm crazy, but it's the truth. If you have a little girl, it's a great movie to have. Movies....I was able to see 2 movies this last weekend. That never happens, but it did. After the girls went to bed, I went to a movie, and my husband stayed home in case the girls woke up or needed anything. It was no big deal for him because he had already seen The Dark Knight. If I had to do it again, I would have gone to a morning show, cause when I left the theatre my arm hair was still sticking up on end. I thought it was a great movie, maybe a little long, but still good. Really, I only thought of one thing that really bugged me about the movie. It seemed like it had 2 endings, it could have ended at one point and I would have been happy, but the movie kept going and going and going. =o) Journey to the Center of the Earth. We decided to take the girls, thought it would be fun, but didn't realize it was 3-D until we saw the price of the tickets. My little one doesn't do very well in movies, so I spent the majority walking her around in the back and missed a lot of the movie, but from what I did see I thought it was a cute movie. The 3D was neat, and if you like Brendan Fraser, you'll like the movie. I did want to mention some great news, it's not really mine, but a friends and I'm very happy for her. For those that know my friend Winnie, she's expecting a little girl the first week in October. She and her hubby live in Southern California and we were chatting online about a month ago when she finally told me about the news. So Congrats Winnie!! A few weeks ago my husband brought home a new game for our Wii and I have loved playing it. Anyone ever played Guitar Hero? (legends of rock game) It's actually a lot of fun and even my oldest daughter gets into it. We have 2 guitars, so while I'm on one, my daughter will be rocking out on the other one. So far I'm comfortable playing the easy and medium level and just starting the hard level. My short stubby fingers have a hard time reaching that 5th note, but I'm determined to figure it out. I was curious on what the expert level looked like. HA. It's the 5 notes, but a WHOLE LOT of 3 note cords. If you can play the expert level, kudos, you are amazing, cause I don't think I'll be getting to that level anytime soon (if ever). What I enjoy are the options, you can play solo, you can battle another player, or you can play as a team. Last, Breaking Dawn comes out Saturday! hooray! If you haven't already figured it out, I'm a huge fan of the Twilight series. I'll probably be one of those crazy people that is at the store at midnight waiting for their very own copy. So my phone and computer will be off this weekend until I have read the last and final book in the series. Have you checked out Stephenie Meyer's website? For the last 2 weeks they have had a daily quote posted from the book. And this last Monday Entertainment Weekly online shared a spoiler from Meyer. If you love the books and haven't checked them out, then I recommend it. =o) ***This just came up while I was writing the above. The new Harry Potter Half Blood Prince movie trailer. Here's the link.
