I have a 4 yr old....weird. =]

4 years?! that went by really fast for me. just a blink of time. Her birthday started the night before when her dad and I decorated the house with a lot of streamers while she was sleeping. She loved waking up to all the decorations and balloons. Since it was her special day I had her wear a tiara all day--what else but a tiara makes a little girl feel special? She loved showing everyone. The morning started out with breakfast with 'Nana Kay. She ordered the funny face platter, but I think her little sister ate more of it than she did.

For lunch we picked up her dad from work and took a detour to Build a Bear! She had no idea, and it was really fun to see her face when we walked into the store. The hardest part of the whole process was deciding on which animal she wanted! every one of them that you pointed to she wanted. Eventually (with a little hint) she picked a really cute purple bear. She was able to pick a sound box with messages on it, add the heart to the inside, stuff the bear, clean the bear, dress the bear, and name the bear. I had no idea they had that much stuff to choose from! They have everything, and a website where your child and their new friend can play in a buildabear world. She left with Sparkles. Definitely a fun experience. Here's a close up of her new friend Sparkles!

After lunch I rushed home to get ready for a small party for her and a few of her friends in the circle. Nothing too big, but she HAD to have a pinata, and what's a pinata without friends to help hit the candy out? It started out that they each took turns and they were really close to getting it open, but getting really impatient for the candy. I stepped up to bat and knocked it off....with a little candy, and ended up ripping the hole so the candy would fall out for them. =] After the candy (which I probably should have done last) we tried for cake and ice cream. Some of the kids were so focused on they yummy candy that they didn't have much cake. oh well. After cake I sent them outside to play with balloons and once they all popped they went home. Definitely a fun birthday, but also exhausting. I'm ready for bed. =]

Here is Sparkles, the castle cake, and the Tinkerbell pinata

This is my daughter (on the right) with one of her best friends Lilly

And this is the crew of friends that usually play together in our circle. They each took turns with the pinata and left with lots of chocolate!!

Wow! What an awesome birthday! The pinata never turns out right, does it? Oh well, it's still fun. Awesome job on the cake, too!
