I love looking at random pictures online and I came by this today and wanted to share. Maybe some of you have seen this before, but his name is Scott Wade and his canvas is a dirty car window. Here are some pictures of just a few that he has posted on his website. This takes writing in someones dirty car window to a whole new level. check it out, they are amazing!

Phone call, pj's, and racing

What a day. I'll be quick and tell you the highlights. =o) My baby made a 911 call today. My oldest NEVER did that when she was this age, but my little one was having a lot of fun with the phone having it on speakerphone. When I finally hung up the phone, it wasn't a few minutes until 911 dispatch called to check on a hang up call. You know they verify all your info, addresss, and make sure you don't need an ambulance or police at your residence. That made me giggle a little. =o) Then my sister in law Kim called and said she was coming over to drop some stuff off. Always nice to see her, I don't get up to her home as often as I should. She is amazing. Kim is graduating from the Western Governors University with a degree in Elementary Education with high honors. So CONGRATS to Kim. =o) While Kim was here (not sure how it came up) but it was suggested that my oldest have a sleepover at her auntie's house. Of course my daughter screams YES! She loves her Aunt Kimmie. How could I say no?? SO I packed a bag for my daughters first sleepover...without me. She is going to have so much fun, she won't even miss me. ;) Later, after she left and my hubby came home, I was surprised to find out that we were having a Mario Kart race with 6 other people. The Wii has a Worldwide connection for this game, so you can register your friends and play against eachother. It was so much fun. I even got 1st on a few games...but I also lost a few games. =) My husband is amazing at this game, not sure on his tricks to get 1st on almost ALL the games we played. His brothers were among the group playing together and its too bad they weren't playing up at our house cause it is hilarious when the 3 of them get together and play this game and hearing the trash talk. All I could do was imagine. =) Right now my baby is asleep, my husband is in his "cave" and I'm watching So You Think You Can Dance...LOVE watching people dance. I always get into the dancing shows, it's just something about the dancing and music. It's like magic. It's addicting to watch. I could do without the commentary from the judges and just watch the dancing. The best are when the couples are doing a dance completely out of their element and they nail it and it's just awesome to watch. Tomorrow...I get to check out a possible preschool option for my daughter. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll feel good about this place. That's it from here!

Happy Independence Day!

I'm sitting here waiting for it to get dark enough to start some fireworks! So I'm flippin through the channels and I landed on PBS. They are showing A Capital Fourth-America's Independence Day Celebration. It's almost over, but this is taking place in Washington DC in front of the Capitol Building. I've already seen some really neat fireworks, heard Jerry Lee Lewis, listening to Huey Lewis and the News right now, an amazing Broadway voice Brian Stokes Mitchell, National Symphony Ochestra, and probably others that I've missed. I love watching these programs, listening to the music (you know the ones that are patriotic, remind you of freedom, life and liberty and almost make you cry, lol), and watching the fireworks. Maybe some of you will agree, but I love the music of Huey Lewis and the News. It reminds me of growing up listening to his music in my dads car (ok and the movie Back to the Future). Hmm...now Taylor Hicks is on? I never watched that season of American Idol, but I don't think I've seen him since he won that season. =o) He seriously won? lol. sorry. Hope everyone had a great 4th!

Washington Weekend

I think my sister Amy did a great job on her blog summarizing what we did on our weekend. Maybe I'll just add some fun pictures. =o) Ok ok, I'll tell you my story. My trip started the moment we sat on the plane. I was sick...which has never happened to me on a plane before. I won't go into all the details, but thank goodness for those "feel better" bags they give you in pockets in the seat. Luckily the worst part was over in 24 hrs. We finally arrived in Seattle, which to me seemed like forever, and Lisa was waiting for us. Then we packed up her red jeep and headed for Port Angeles (with a few sightseeing stops on the way). For those who are crazy about the book Twilight, the next morning we headed to the little town of Forks to drive around a little. Then we packed a little picnic and went to La Push for a beach walk! This area is absolutely gorgeous! They even have a little rainforest. You are completely surrounded by this lush green forest, that you wouldn't even think that their was an ocean on the other side. The beach itself is full of these perfectly rounded rocks of all sizes and these HUGE trees that have washed up on shore. Lisa called it the tree "bone yard". My other favorite part of this day was when I was able to take a nap in the back of the car whenever we were driving. =o) Being nautious is never fun when you're in a car. Eventually we made it back to the house Lisa is watching near Olympia for the night. The next morning we headed to Tacoma for our glassblowing class! This is such an amazing process to watch and would take a while, so I'll add pictures instead. After our class, we headed to the Tacoma Glass Museum. Inside the museum they have a group of people demonstrating glass blowing during the hours it's open, and I could watch it all day. Unfortunately we didn't have all day to watch, we needed to head to Seattle. We stopped by an amazing toy store, and then headed to our sunset Kayaking tour. They were able to give us the 3 person kayak, which turned out to be a lot of fun, but Amy and Lisa were stuck with me steering the kayak. So around 10-11 at night after Kayaking we were starving and found a Cheesecake factory still open and taking orders. Just side note for anyone ordering the small salads...they are HUGE, plan on sharing with someone, the "small" is misleading. =o) Our last day in Washington we spent mostly downtown Seattle at Pikes Place Market, which has amazing prices and LOTS of fresh food, flowers, and anything else you can think of. We also spent time at a really neat park that overlooked the seattle skyline. Ams and I had a great time with our sister Lisa, it was sad to go, but we also missed our families. Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

wake up get up get out

You'll never believe what I did. I woke up at 5am this morning so I could go to a Jazzercise class at 5:30am. When I told my husband last night that I was going to the morning class he just laughed at me, cause I really do like to sleep. BUT I was determined, and I got myself out of bed and went to class. I was surprised at how many people showed up, it was kinda nice. The best part was I was home and showered before anyone else in the house was up. I need to train my body to get up in the morning and go to sleep earlier. I'm more of a night owl, I like to stay up late with my husband after the girls are in bed, and sleep until the girls wake me up. =o) I haven't voluntarily gotten up this early....ever, unless you count seminary, but that's not really voluntary when your parents are pushing you out the door at 6am. =o) To keep this short, I loved it!! Even though I'm a little sleepy right now, I prefer the morning over the night class...less stuff to get in the way. I just need to get past that alarm clock and wake up, get up, and get out. Other news: my next door neighbor offically moved out yesterday morning really early for Houston. I'm already sad to see him go. Then just a few hours later the new neihgbors pulled up and started painting the house and "claiming" rooms. I haven't had a chance to meet them yet, I just know that they have 2 little dogs, 3-4 cars, and teenagers. =o) Other than that I have been planning my baby's 1st birthday party! I have made an ice cream cake! well it's not done yet, and it's the first time I've done it. =o) I've used a bundt cake pan, let the cake cool, then cut off the top, used an ice cream scoop to kinda scoop out the center leaving a shell of cake. Then I put the cake in the freezer for about an hour to make it easier so I could "stuff" the softened ice cream in the shell. Should be interesting. I'll post pictures if it works out. hehehe. Then the next night, my sister and I are off to Seattle (kid and husband free) to visit our older sister for the weekend! I love my kids and my husband, but I am really looking forward to sister time. =o) We have lots planned and little time to get it all done. Can't wait!

Gotta Love Dumplings

We took the kids (ok it was mostly for us) to see Kung Fu Panda, and it was awesome. It was nice to get out of the house, especially since the girls and I have been taking turns being sick the last week. The movie was hilarious. enough said. ;-) Oh and I've been reading The Other Boleyn Girl (borrowed it from Amy, who borrowed it from Laura) which is a great book, but I swear is never ending. So much has happened and I'm not even half way through it. The movie comes out on dvd Tuesday, Amy is looking forward to it, but I need to finish the book before I'll rent the movie. Good read for anyone that's interested!

Jazzercise

I finally did it! I went to my first Jazzercise class last night. I've been wanting to do this for over a year. I can not believe it took me that long to go. My friend across the street came with me; we are going to motivate each other going to classes as much as we can. Last night kicked my butt, but it felt great (once I could breathe again). Can't wait for tomorrow night. =o)
