Chocolate Strawberries

What a day! After the mandatory morning cartoons, the girls and I ventured out on the snow packed roads to the grocery store. Sometimes it seems like I can go grocery shopping blindfolded. When we arrived home, my oldest sweetheart helped me make my yummy rice krispie treats--not the marshmallow bag variety. I added the red food dye to make the gooey sticky stuff watermelon red and after adding the krispies we cut out heart-shaped rice krispies treats just for Jared. One thing I've learned in the last couple days is a 3 year old cannot keep a secret. TWICE she has told Jared about our surprises, first the Valentines Cards (which he loved), and then the rice krispie treats when he called to say hi. Gotta love her, she makes me laugh every day. I added some pictures of our Valentines evening at home! You will see that I finally got my little pieces of heaven--chocolate dipped strawberries from Cummings Chocolates. YUMMMMY. He also brought home a small gift for each of the girls--what a sweetheart! THEN he came up with the idea to make homemade pizza...ok ok, as homemade as it can get at last minute, but my oldest LOVED helping him make the pizza. Other than my splitting headache and the feeling that I'm coming down with something, it was a great Valentines with my family. Hope everyone else had a great day!
