my weekend...and snow

What a great weekend. Nothing tooo crazy, and pretty low key. Best part? my sister Lisa was in town! First day, we had lunch with dad, which is always nice, and then later we had a late birthday dinner for Lisa with my mom. Everyone was there at the dinner...wow. Can I just say crazy? fun, but crazy. The next morning, after President Hinckley's funeral, Lisa and I (and my oldest angel) went to a movie!! yup a movie. Since having kids, it's a rare treat to go see a movie. No one else wanted to come see the movie The Water Horse with us. It turned out to be a really cute show! I won't buy it when it comes out, but it was cute. After the movie we started chatting about nails and how I had NEVER had a manicure. I mentioned how there is a new place just by my gorcery store. We were going to be Girlified! But first, I have to take care of my little girls. My hubby had no problem watching the girls, especially since I was able to get my baby to take a nap. I GOT A MANICURE!! Nice color huh? I would have never picked it out. I haven't put nailpolish on my finger nails since high school. Oh, something else worth mentioning. After we got our manicure, we decided to also get our hair cut...spure of the moment. =o) I cut my hair! and I LOVE IT! (no picture..sorry) Later that evening all my sisters were to meet at my mom's after we put the kids to sleep for some girl talk. I can't remember the last time it was just the girls without the kids. If you know us, we lost track of time and we were there for almost 4 hours talking. Yeah.....not much sleep that night, ah well, it was fun. On the way home it started to snow where I live..not light snow, windy heavy flakes. Below is picture of when I opened my front door at 9am. Kinda hard to see, but do you see those dark specs over by the tree? Those are our planters, COVERED in snow. This picture is later that day after the driveway was shoveled (thanks neighbors!) She is standing right next to the snow height..that's how much snow we got. LOTS. I wish I had a sled, we have some great hills here. but first...snow gear! If you look closely at the picture you'll see my daughter is in her cute slippers. That was my weekend...girlie stuff and snow. Hope you guys had a great one!
