This has been long over due and lots has happened and MANY pictures to share!

It all started last Sunday when I went to my cousin's son's baptism. This was something I could not miss. I can not remember the last time when every single one of my Aunt Linda's kids were together at one time. Each one lives in a different area from California across to Puerto Rico. AND another major reason is -- I miss them. I love my cousins (even if I haven't seen them in YEARS). It was really nice that everyone was able to make it for the baptism. One of my most favorite lines of the night was from Jett's brother Luke. Right when Jett was getting 'dunked' Luke said, "He's drowning him!" I thought it was hilarious. Such cute kids.

Here is a picture of the amazing wives and my adorable cousin Anna. From the left is Adam's wife Liz, then Jed's wife Val, Jake's wife Carolyn, and cousin Anna. These ladies....bless you for putting up with those boys. Gotta love'em. I don't get to see them unless for occassions like this, but I love it when I do! They are really great and fun to be around..did I mention tall? oh yeah I'm already short, but still. If I were in this picture I'd be a full head in a half shorter than any of them at least.
Moving on. My daugher made it through her first day of preschool! horray! I wasn't terribly worried, but you never know. Her teacher is named Mrs Amy. I love how they use first names. Mrs Amy said she did really well and my daughter was just all smiles when I picked her up. She can't wait to go back next week! Here's a pic of her just after I picked her up from school.

Oh and I thought I'd update those that were curious about my latest project. sewing togas. I admit I didn't realize what I was getting myself into when I attempted this. I haven't sewn an article of clothing for years, and never used a pattern. My VERY patient sister Lisa helped me through this. Even though she was in Washington, I took pictures and emailed her the pattern. lol. I am not fluent in patternese. With that, I still missed a step, but they turned out ok...at least I think so. They will work and I get to wear it Saturday night! Here they are..the finished project.

Update on my Jazzercise. I'm still going! But the only class I attend now is the 5:30am class Monday-Thurs. That doesn't mean I actually get up all 4 days, but I really push for 2-3. So far I've been successful with twice a week. I love it and I feel better on the days that I'm able to go. I know I've said this before, but I love how I'm able to get up, workout, get home and shower before anyone else wakes up. Here's a picture that a friend from class took last Monday morning. These are most of the regulars for the 5:30am class. The teacher is in front, her name is Sean. She is amazing. She works twice as hard as any of us and still has all this energy! I don't know how she does it, but she keeps it fun.

That brings me to today. What a day. I'm not sure where to start. Something very important happened, but it requires some background. My husband and I have been talking for a few years about the possibility of getting a piano. I grew up playing and LOVE to play. This summer I've just had that feeling, not sure how to describe it, but I was tired of waiting to go to someone's house that has a piano so I could play. I asked my hubby, what are the chances of getting one?? He shocked me when he said, it was possibility. He really wants music to be apart of the girls lives, and I'd love to try and teach my daughters how to play. So I was really excited and went around to ALL the piano dealers in the valley (cause each one has a different brand) and played all the pianos I could find. In the end I made a list with the information I collected of the pianos I loved the most and handed it to my husband. You really can't decide on a piano without sitting down, playing the keys, hearing the quality of the sound and the touch of the keys. I was living in a dream. A piano all of my own?! Then the other day my husband turns to me and says, "I have an idea, I've done the math and I think it would be cheaper if you just drove to your moms a few times a week to play her piano, it's already paid for." My jaw dropped, I was seriously speechless. It was as if he offered me the most delicious treat, let me smell it and nibble just bite, but just as I was to have it all to myself, he took it away and threw it in the trash. He made more excuses and reasons why not get a piano. In all honesty I started moping...mourning the loss of a piano that would never be. That lasted for about 24 hours (and of him calling and asking COUNTLESS times if I was still mad at him). Then today there was knock on the door and these guys just rolled in my very own delicious treat. The best treat I could ever think of! My own piano. Here is it! Doesn't it just fit perfectly?! I smile every time I see it or think about it.

My husband was trying really hard not to laugh or smile as they were setting up the piano. Me, I was almost in tears! I went from mopey to complete happiness in less than 2 seconds flat when it finally hit me what was going on. Lucky for me my oldest was out playing with friends and my baby was taking a nap. So when the delivery guys left, it didn't take me long to sit down and feel the keys to my piano. I brought up my box of old piano music that has been collecting dust and just played. When I play the piano, I'm in my own world. LOVED IT. Like I told my husband, getting the piano will be an investment to my sanity. =o) I also thought to myself, How could I fall for one of his tricks again!! He was able to keep a straight face the whole time and I didn't once see behind it and figure it out. But the story doesn't end there.. oh no.
Tonight he had a work party. You would think that the he sent out an email to the entire company letting them in on his little evil secret. Everyone wanted to know how I reacted, and if I was happy with the surprise. People I had never even met were asking me! The whole time he was just laughing, and laughing harder every time someone new would ask me about my surprise. Such an evil trick to play, but how can you stay mad at someone who has given you a wonderful treasure? Here are a few pictures of the party. My daugher LOVED the inflatable obstacle course. She would race her dad to the end. Then when he got tired, she kept on going. I lost count how many times she went through that thing. Then she HAD to have her face painted. It only took seconds after for her to touch it and smear it everywhere, but she loved it.

That's it for my update. Sorry it's all bundled in one. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Other than the party where I get to wear a toga (I'll be taking my camera in hopes of getting some really funny pictures), I'll be playing my piano as much as I can! If you call and I don't answer...it's because I've unplugged the phone. =o)

Yeah! I'm so excited for you. I don't think my husband would have been able to get away with that, I'm way to nosy. So, what brand of Piano did you get?
Congratulations on your piano!!! What a cruel and wonderful trick for your husband to play on you! :) Those are the absolutely best kind!!
