a decade milestone.

My husband and I hit the 10yr marriage milestone over the weekend.  I remember when we were first married that 10 years seemed so far away. Now it's a mix of really? only been 10 years? and that flew by fast.  I should pull out the old pictures....wedding video still on vhs. ha.
For the last few years we've been joking about how on our 10 yr anniversary we would have a "review" on how things have gone so far in the marriage and if we'd stick with it for the next 10 yr review. However, this year my husband literally missed our anniversary.
With the time change from our time zone to whenever Shanghai time zone, he flew out on a Saturday and skipped most of Sunday in flight/time change.  Now that he's halfway across the world, he has skipped out on our 10 yr review...guess we'll have to try again in 5 years, hopefully he won't be so lucky. (maybe we are the only ones that think this is funny). hehehe
This year we did manage an anniversary dinner with some friends at the Melting Pot. --can only afford this place once a year anyway.  We've been going there on our anniversary every year since it opened...7-8 years ago?! wow. anyway. love love when we go. Everything from the cheese, salad, meat, and the chocolate!  With an extra couple there we got to try 2 of everything, so 2 different cheeses, cooking styles, and of course 2 different chocolates! soo good.
Glad we were able to celebrate a little early and with friends. On the actual day what did I do? well, while my husband was somewhere flying over the pacific ocean/sleeping, I'm pretty sure I stayed in my pajamas for most of the day with my girls listening to the rain.

Congratulations sweety! You are now in your second decade and I am in my third...wow does that sound like we're preggo? Hmm, is marriage like pregnancy, I'd bet we could come up with some pretty good laughs there! Love you two! Hope Jared returns home safely.
