Thor. God of Thunder.
Last night, my sister and I decided to see a really late movie. THOR! I did not have high expectations for this movie. But in the end, it made me laugh, good acton, even wanted to shed a little tear, and great effects. Really enjoyed watching this movie. Chris Hemworth is Thor (he also starred in Star Trek as Kirks dad) and I thought he was great in this role (not to mention really easy on the eyes). Other names in the cast you might recognize? Natlalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Kat Dennings (hilarious), and Rene Russo. Need to mention Idris Elba, who plays the gatekeeper (Heimdall)....amazing. Another cool surprise?? Kenneth Branagh directed the movie.
I need to brush up on my Marvel Comics. Wish I could explain the story of Thor. Here's what I know. This is the next installement of the Avengers. Mighty Thor, son of the great Odin, is a strong, powerful, arrogant warrior that goes against his fathers wishes to reignite an ancient war. This eventually leads to Thor being banished to planet Earth to live as a mortal and hopefully learn a lesson.
Good movie. One that I wouldn't mind seeing a second time. 7.5/10 stars
(p.s. there is a clip at the end of alll the credits...just like in Ironman.)
