One of my best friends joined the 30's club this weekend! hooray! We are going to totally rock the 30's. Am I the only one excited about being 30?? Anyway...for the last night of her 20's we just wanted to get out and do something. Since the strip club was not an option, we opted for Color Me Mine.
Have you painted your own ceramic piece?? I've done it a few times with my sisters and it is soo much fun. They have shelves of pieces to choose from, anything from in the kitchen plates, cookie jars, boxes, animal banks...many choices. Then you take it to your table, have your own paints, and just have fun. Make it for yourself or for a friend. Best part? you don't have to be artistic/talented to do this. hahaha.
My friend found the cutest cupcake platter, didn't have to think twice to get that one. I chose to make something for my little girl who is turning 4 in a couple of weeks--a little piggy bank. We were probably there for over an hour painting, chatting, laughing, and being way too serious over making a mistake on our pieces. hahaha. too many sprinkles? another color? crap I put paint on the wing, maybe I can get it off...I think we finished with "less is more."
The pictures are the finished pieces waiting to get fired up! They won't be ready until later..may add pics of the finished pieces in a few days. Sooo excited!!

And with it being a little birthday party, it's not complete with out a yummmy cupcake! Have you tried the Sweet Tooth Fairy cupcakes? I have tried them before, but never been in the shop. The best word to describe how the decorated the shop? Whimsy? really cute and great desserts. highly recommend. With it being a friends birthday, it was calorie free. Now to be good again....
Really nice to just get out and be silly with one of my favorites for one night.
