Friends and Family weekend

   My weekend really started Friday night. Usually once a year (more if we can) one of my groups of friends from high school get together to catch up. One of my friends, who was already been living out of state, is moving to Singapore for maybe a year the day after Christmas. With our small window of opportunity to see her while she was in town before the big move, we got together to have dinner. Where? ha..silly question, we usually meet a Zupas. yuuummm. I've been craving Zupas. for months. Best part of December at Zupas? their chocolate dipped strawberries are also dipped in peppermint shavings...soo good.

   Anyway, we chatted for hours. literally. They almost had to kick us out cause we stayed after closing. Managed to get more free samples..wahaha. The night ended too fast, we wanted to keep chatting...but it was getting really late. Love my friends, and that we're still friends now. Kind of friends that even though we see each other a handful (or less) times a year, as if no time as passed.

   Saturday morning is family time! Not very often that my kids and their cousins can all get together (hubby side). We were only missing one, who was definitely missed, but still nice to see the others.  The kids literally ran around the house chasing and playing while the adults chatted. Later they had pizza, decorated giant ginger cookies, and opened presents.  cousins just make me laugh when they are together. 6 of the cousins are all about the same size.

Overall a good weekend...
