Hope everyone had a wonderful christmas weekend! After the kids opened presents, breakfast was consumed, we decided to go see a movie (shocker..I know). Since the girls have already seen Tangled (love it), there was only one option left...Gullivers Travels, starring Jack Black.
If you like Jack Black, and don't mind his family movies, then you may like this one. It's not bad, and I did enjoy the cast, just not a movie I need to see again. The cast? Besides Jack Black, there's Emily Blunt (Devil Wears Prada), Jason Segel (How I met your mother), Amanda Peet, and Chris O'Dowde (IT Crowd..love that show). Jack Black plays a mailroom clerk at a NY newspaper. He talks himself into a story about the Bermuda Triangle to impress the girl (Peet). While on assignment sailing in the Bermuda Triangle he gets swepped away to the land of Lilliput, where he is larger than life and starts telling tales and taking credit for others inventions. Even helps Lillput wage war on their life long enemies putting them in real danger. Anyway..that's the basic. It was cute....then Jack Black started a musical number that I'm still shaking my head at. lol. 4/10 stars. (lost a star for the musical number..)
** anyone want to see Black Swan with me this week or next weekend?? prefer matinee :) so I can watch a disney after to help avoid nightmares. lol.
