Book Review: The Name of the Wind

The Name of the Wind.  Sorry I haven't had many books posted. I realized that I may have mentioned this book in a previous post, but that I did not write my review. It took me a while to read this book, The Name of the Wind. I really enjoyed this story, and looking forward to when the next book is released in March. Even now, almost 2 months after I read the book, I'm amazed at how much information he crammed into one very long book and how much MORE he still has to write to finish the story. The book is mystery, magic, fantasy all wrapped in one. I'm not sure how to best describe this book, so I took this from Patrick Rothfuss website. :)

"So begins the tale of Kvothe—from his childhood in a troupe of traveling players, to years spent as a near-feral orphan in a crime-riddled city, to his daringly brazen yet successful bid to enter a difficult and dangerous school of magic. In these pages you will come to know Kvothe as a notorious magician, an accomplished thief, a masterful musician, and an infamous assassin. But The Name of the Wind is so much more—for the story it tells reveals the truth behind Kvothe's legend."

The book is long, but very well written story.
